In this case, we focus on Tour de Suisse a.k.a. #rideforgino edition

Weather Forecast

First of all, we need to know the weather forecast. If its difficult to predict it for a one day races imagine for a weekly race. Taking the finish stages places as references:

Over 175km stage from Vaduz to Regensdorf sprinters and puncheurs will fight for the win. 12km to finish Ragensberg (2.9km - 6.3%) will be the judge of the stage.

Over 160km stage from Steinmaur to Rüschlikon sprinters and puncheurs will fight for the win. Last 20km are so hilly with uphill ending (800m - 7.2%)

170km stage from Rüschlikon to Gotthard Pass (8.2km - 6.6%) uphill finish climbers and GC contenders will fight for the win.

Under 150km stage from Ambri to Carì (10.2km - 8%) uphill finish climbers and GC contenders will fight for the win.

Over 40km stage from Ulrichen to Blatten-Belalp (5.8km - 8.7%) uphill finish climbers and GC contenders will fight for the win.

Under 120km stage around Villars -sur- Ollon peloton arrive (7.9km - 7.7%) uphill finish climbers and GC contenders will fight for the win.

Over 15km with a climbing profile with uphill finish (10.2km - 8%)is a good chance to TT specialists, and CG contenders.

The starlist of 87th Tour de Suisse is plenty of climbers, TT specialists and few sprinters. Teams are warming up their grimpeurs and specialist and let them the chances to improve tactics and strategies before Tour de France.
