Hungary makes its debut in the ProSeries

The 44th edition of the Tour de Hongrie will take place from May 10th to 14th and it will be an historical edition, as the race is upgraded from a 2.1 to a ProSeries event. With the upgrade, the race will be featured in Cycling Fantasy for the first time.

Route

The race starts with two flat stages that should offer two sprints. The third stage takes place on a hilly final circuit, while on Saturday, the summit finish line in Dobogoko (10.9 km at 4.3 km) will decide the general classification. The last day will feature a circuit on the streets of Budapest, which will possibly host a third sprint to conclude the race.

Favorites

Egan Bernal (1000) is the most prominent name on the start list, but it seems difficult for him to contend for the win as he is still recovering from the training accident he suffered 15 months ago. Lucas Plapp (400), Jakob Fuglsang (400), George Bennett (200), Fausto Masnada (400), Damien Howson (200), Ben Hermans (200), Hermann Persteiner (200), Max Poole (200), or Eduardo Sepulveda (200) are more likely options for the win.

For the sprints, and considering that there are potentially three opportunities for them, several top sprinters are on the start list: Fabio Jakobsen (1000), Phil Bauhaus (800), Caleb Ewan (600), Dylan Groenewegen (600), Sam Bennett (600), Juan Sebastian Molano (600), Elia Viviani (400), Jon Aberasturi (400), Arvid De Klein (200), or Matteo Moschetti (200) are some of the most outstanding ones.
