In this case, we focus on Tour de Romandie.

Weather Forecast

First of all, we need to know the weather forecast. If its difficult to predict it for a one day races imagine for a weekly race. Taking the finish stages places as references:

Stages

Welcome to Tour de Romandie and welcome to its traditional prologue to start the week. Over 2km flat profile is a good chance to TT specialists, strong sprinters and CG contenders.

The peloton will ride few flat kms in this 165 km stage. 10km to finish the bunch meets Arconciel (1.8km-7.3%). Enough to break the group and a chance for puncheurs, strong sprinters and GC contenders.

Time to grimpeurs and CG contenders! With Les Marecottes (7.6km-7.5%) on the uphill ending

Over 15km ITT profile, riders will find and uphill 1st half with a descending 2nd half. Chance for TT specialists and GC contenders.

The Queen Stage with a 3500 vert.meters concentrates in 151km.
Last climb is Leysin (13.8km-6%) where grimpeurs and CG contenders will fight for the stage win.

Last stage is not pure flat, but strong sprinters or BW will have their chance to take the last Romandie victory.

The starlist of 77th Tour de Romandie is plenty of climbers, TT specialists and few sprinters. Teams are warming up their grimpeurs and specialist and let them the chances to improve tactics and strategies before Giro the Italia
