Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for Liège - Bastogne - Liège 2025

Next Sunday, the season of the great spring classics comes to an end with Liège-Bastogne-Liège. Created in 1892, it is the oldest of the great classics, fully deserving its nickname "La Doyenne (the Old Lady)”.

In Cycling Fantasy, both the men's and women's races count towards the combined rankings of the Monuments and the Ardennes, making them doubly decisive.

Men's race: route and favorites

The men's race covers a monumental distance of 251 km with over 4000 meters of elevation gain. Côte de la Redoute (1.6 km at 8.9%), côte de Forges (1.3 km at 7.4%), and côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons (1.3 km at 11%) in the final part are where the race is usually decided.

Tadej Pogačar (1200) and Remco Evenepoel (1200) are the two main favorites. Other contenders include Mattias Skjelmose (1000), Nelson Powless (800), Enric Mas (1000), Thomas Pidcock (800), Santiago Buitrago (800), Giulio Ciccone (1000), Romain Bardet (800), Marc Hirschi (600), Ben Healy (600), and Guillaume Martin (400), among other notable names.
