Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift 2025

The Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift was created in 2022 and immediately established itself as one of the most important women’s races of the year. To capitalize on the huge appeal of the men’s Tour de France, the women's race begins on the final weekend of the men’s race, creating two beautiful days of celebration for the sport.

Route

The 2025 Tour de France Femmes avec Zwift adds one more stage compared to previous editions, reaching a total of 9 race days.

The race begins with a puncheurs' stage in Plumelec, with the finish line located atop the Côte de Cadoudal (1.8 km at 6.1%), which the riders will climb three times. Stages 2, 3, and 4 are the flattest and best suited for sprinters, as things get more difficult starting from stage 5.

Stage 5 offers another opportunity for puncheurs, while Thursday brings the first mountain stage, featuring the race’s first Category 1 climb: Col du Beal (10.3 km at 5.6%). Stage 7 is classified as medium mountain by the organizers, but with all the elevation gain in the final section, climbers and GC contenders are expected to fight for the stage win.

Finally, the last weekend sees the toughest climb of the race with the Saturday ascent of Col de la Madeleine (18.9 km at 8%), followed by another alpine stage on Sunday between Praz-sur-Arly and Châtel Les Portes du Soleil.
