The Belgian lottery Lotto is the oldest sponsor in current cycling, since it began sponsoring the team in 1985, and continues to do so today, currently under the full name of Lotto Soudal.

In the early 1990s, the Lotto - Super Club brought together a good roster, including a young Johan Museeuw, who won two stages in the 1990 Tour de France, and Johan Bruyneel, who years later would be the US Postal sports director.
