The world championships are one of the great events of the year, especially since the four beautiful rainbow jerseys that the champions will wear next season are at stake. In addition, this year marks 100 years of the first world championship held in Copenhagen in 1921 and, to celebrate it, this year's event is in Flanders, one of the great world cycling capitals. Individual Road Race Women

Route: 157 kilometers make the event the longest women's race of the season, and the profile also includes 20 short climbs that add up to a total of 1,047 vertical meters in what constitutes a fully flandrian route. The start will be from Antwerp with a flat section before entering the first of the two circuits around Leuven that make up the race, which will be given several crossed laps. The final circuit includes the cobbled climb to the Moskesstraat (0.5 km at 8.9%) as the main hot spot.
