A sprint for the strongest

Eschborn-Frankfurt usually ends in sprint, but beware, this does not mean it's a massive one. In fact, it's a VIP sprint, because the race is very selective. Attention to this data: last season, only 71 from the 147 cyclists who took the start reached the finish line. That’s less than half.

Several hills in the central part of the course harden the race enough to make suffer the pure sprinters, while the flat end works as a counterpoint, favoring the arrival in a group. It often rains, and massive falls are common. It's as if someone had designed the perfect race for Alexander Kristoff (1200), the tough guy of the bunch. The layout favors him and he is not sharing: he has won four in a row.

Michael Matthews (1200), John Degenkolb (800), Magnus Cort Nielsen (800), Nils Politt (400), Oliver Naesen (800), Pascal Ackerman (1200), Phil Bauhaus (600), Michael Valgren (800), Ivan Garcia Cortina (600) or Rayane Bouhani (600) are some of the guys who will try to prevent Kristoff from taking the fifth consecutive.
