It all starts in Australia
Santos Tour Down Under kicks off the 2020 season in Cycling Fantasy. The results obtained in Australia already count for the Men's GC of the season, and will mark the first leader of the year. So, don't forget to team up!
Daryl Impey (1000) starts as the main favorite to win one more year, as he won in the 2018 and 2019 editions. Other men who can dispute GC are Luis León Sánchez (800), Pavel Sivakov (600), Rohann Dennis (1200), Jay Mc Carthy (800), Simon Yates (1200), Diego Ulissi (800), George Bennet (800), Eduard Prades (600), Ryan Gibbons (600) or the King of Willunga Hill himself, Richie Porte (800). Willunga Hill is Porte's fetish climb, since he has been winning this stage of the Tour Down Under for 6 years.
Apart from the fight for GC, there will also be good fights between the sprinters for stage victories. Sam Bennet (1200) will try to debut in the colors of Deceunink - QuickStep with victory, although there will be strong competition: the Australian Caleb Ewan (1200), the New Zealander Patrick Bevin (800), the Italian Elia Viviani (1200), the German André Greipel (800), the Belgian Jasper Philipsen (600), the French Marc Sarreau (600) or the Norwegian Kristoferr Halvorsen (600) are in the provisional start list, among others. All of them are first class sprinters, so good fights are guaranteed.
Finally, we do not want to end this post without mentioning the serious fires that are plaguing Australia in recent months. From Cycling Fantasy we want to show all our solidarity and support to all the victims.
