Pelotón gets to Québec and Montréal with the mind in the World Championships

The Grand Prix Cycliste de Québec and the Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal are two one-day races that are quite alike, as both are disputed in circuits, although they are very different in terms of hardness. While in Québec the route is almost identical to that of the 2018 edition, with 200 kilometers and 2400 meters of accumulated positive slope, Montréal has considerably increased its hardness, exceeding 220 km and reaching more than 4700 positive meters. Both races will be a good warm up for the Yorkshire World Championship and, precisely for that reason, we must follow our instinct to form our 9 in Cycling Fantasy, because it is a mystery to know which runners will still be in preparation and which will compete in this two races.

The startlists for both cycling events in Canada are practically identical, and although there are still a lot of names to confirm, there are already some names that stand out above the rest: Julian Alaphilippe (1200), Peter Sagan (1200), Greg Van Avermaet (1200), Michael Kwiatkowski (1200), Tim Wellens (1000), Vincenzo Nibali (1000), Matej Mohoric (800), Oliver Naesen (800), Rui Alberto Faria da Costa (800), Michael Valgren Andersen (600), Magnus Cort Nielsen ( 600), Sep Vanmarcke (600), and Remco Evenepoel (400) have already confirmed their presence, while we'll have to wait to see if the current champion of both races, Michael Matthews (1200), will try to defend tittles.
