Stages 6 and 7 of the UAE Tour canceled due to coronavirus cases
The organization of the UAE Tour determined Thursday night that the two remaining stages of the UAE Tour will not be disputed, after cases of coronavirus have been detected in two members of one of the teams participating. All cyclists, members of the team staffs, organizers and journalists who were following the event have been tested throughout the night and on Friday morning.

Therefore, after knowing the decision to cancel the two remaining stages, we have been waiting for an official pronouncement to decide whether or not to grant the bonus points for final classification. It has finally arrived:
“Joint statement by the Race Direction and the President of Commissaires Panel
Abu Dhabi, 28 February 2020 - Following the decision by the relevant local authorities to cancel the last two stages of the UAE Tour, it is confirmed that the final results of the race are those obtained after stage 5, as per article 2.2.029”
Bonuses for final classification
So, after race direction has considered the results after stage 5 as the final results, Adam Yates (1200) gets the victory. Thus, users who have him on his team will receive the 100 bonus points for final classification.
We know that many users had hopes for the two sprints that were left, but the circumstances have been unpredictable for everyone and we use the official criteria to be as fair as possible.
