Ardèche and Drôme inaugurate the French season
Faun Ardèche Classic and Faun Drôme Classic will be the first two races to score points for the annual France 1.Pro classification, the combined ranking that brings together all the French one-day races in the 1.Pro category, and which awards 10 beautiful Tour Eiffel trophies at the end of the year. Both races take place on the same weekend in the bordering regions of Ardèche and Drôme, so the start lists share a large part of the riders.
The routes
Both Faun Ardèche Classic and Faun Drôme Classic feature circular mid-mountain routes, ideal for climbers and puncheurs. The Faun Ardèche Classic is somewhat tougher and accumulates more than 3,000 meters of climbing, while the Faun Drôme Classic includes a first part on a circuit and is perhaps better suited to punchy riders.
