Burgos makes its WWT debut
Only seven years after its creation, the Vuelta a Burgos Féminas debuts as a Women's WorldTour race, and it will be precisely the first stage race of the world’s highest women's cycling category to be held in 2021. With many CF points to be distributed, this is an important race that will undoubtedly generate changes in the WWT classification in Cycling Fantasy.
Route
Stages 1 and 2 do not have great difficulties and can finish in some kind of sprint, while the third is designed for puncheurs, with the hilltop arrival at Ojo Guareña (1.2 km at 4.9%). Finally, the fourth and last stage is undoubtedly the queen stage, as it ends at the top of Lagunas de Neila (11.9% to 6.3%), where the general classification will be decided.
Favorites
Three days before the start of the race, the entry list is still in a very early stage, although some of the best cyclists in the world have already signed their presence. The Dutch Annemiek Van Vleuten (1200) and Anna Van Der Breggen (1200) will start as the main favorites, while other candidates for victory are Danish Ceclie Uttrup Ludwig (1000) or the Spanish Mavi Garcia (600) and Anne Santesteban (600). In any case, many cyclists are yet to appear on the startlist, so it is difficult to make predictions.
