Many sprints in a .Pro Tour of Turkey
The Presidential Cycling Tour of Turkey lost its WorldTour race status after the 2019 edition, and was not held in 2020 due to the COVID19 health crisis. In 2021, the race will be held again, but now as part of the ProSeries.
Route
The itinerary is made up of 8 stages, of which 5 or 6 will probably be solved by sprinting, so it is advisable to have several fast men in our Cycling Fantasy team.
Presumably, the decisive stages for the general classification will be the 1st and especially the 5th, which includes two first-category climbs, the first long and stretched (17.2 km at 4.9%) and the second shorter but with steeper slope (12.1 km at 6.3%).
Participants
Only 3 WorldTeam category teams will be at the start, Astana Premier Tech, Deceuninck - Quick Step and Israel Start Up Nation. In addition, the starting list is still in an early phase, as most teams have not yet announced their line-ups, so it is very difficult to talk about favorites.
What does seem to be confirmed is great news that all cycling fans rejoice about: Fabio Jakobsen (800) will make his comeback in competition after the serious accident he suffered at the Tour de Pologne 2020. Welcome back Fabio!
