Racing never stops in Belgium

Two days after the Danilih Nokere Koerse, much of the same field will have the opportunity to challenge again at the Bredene Koksijde Classic, as the races in Belgium continue throughout the spring. In this case it is a 1.Pro race, so it will count for the Belgium 1.Pro classification in Cycling Fantasy.

Route

The race passes some of the Gent-Wevelgem in Flanders Fields famous hills, such as the Monteberg and the Kemmelberg, which are climbed twice midway through the race. After the climbs, the route will bring the cyclists closer to the coast along open and flat roads, where the wind is usually the main protagonist, forming echelons and beautiful chases between groups. Finally, the race will be decided on the 3 laps on the local circuit in Koksijde.

Favorites

Although the race can brake and gives alternatives, history shows us that it is usually decided on a bunch sprint. Tim Merlier (800) will try to defend the title won in 2021, and with him an interesting list of fast men: Pascal Ackermann (1000), Jon Aberasturi (600), Stanislaw Aniolkowski (600), Cees Bol (600), Hugo Hofstetter (400), Maximilian Walscheid (600), Luca Mozzato (400), Piet Aleegaert (400), Kristoffer Halvorsen (400) and Jordi Meeus (400) are among the main favorites.
