Romandie consolidates in the WWT
The Tour de Romandie Féminin was held for the first time in 2022 as part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the men's Tour de Romandie, but from the very beginning, the intention was for the race to be an important event on the women's calendar. The organizers ensured that the Swiss race was included in the UCI Women’s WorldTour from the first edition, and for 2024, the start list has taken another step forward, presenting a spectacular lineup that definitively consolidates it as a top-tier women’s race.
Route
As in the previous two editions, the third Tour de Romandie Féminin will be contested in three stages, from Friday, September 6th to Sunday, September 8th. The first day features a hilly route with an uphill finish for punchers in Lausanne (2.2 km at 4.6%). The second day is the queen stage of this edition, ending at the first-category Vercorin pass (9.6 km at 8.2%), while the third and final stage again has a hilly profile, but this time the finish comes after a long descent.
