Survey result: pick rate is hidden before the race starts
The survey has finished and the result is clear.
With more than 1,000 votes recorded, 62% of the community has voted in favor of hiding the selection percentage before lineups close.
Support was broad-based:
- 61% of Premium users
- 65% of non-Premium users
Cycling Fantasy will implement the result.
From now on, the exact pick rate will no longer be shown before the start of the race.
Once the competition begins, the percentage will be available again for all users, as always.

A step towards a more strategic fantasy
This change is not a removal. It is an evolution.
The selection percentage is a powerful social signal. When it is visible before lock, it can influence decisions and reduce the strategic component.
By hiding it until the start:
- The copy effect is reduced.
- Individual analysis is encouraged.
- Knowledge of the peloton gains more value.
- The competitive nature of the game is reinforced.
Choosing once again becomes a strategic decision, not a reaction to collective behavior.
Cycling Fantasy aims to be the most complete and rigorous cycling fantasy. This is another step in that direction.
What exactly is changing?
Before the start of the race:
- The exact selection percentage will not be visible.
- Lineups will be based exclusively on your strategy.
After the start:
- The pick rate will be shown to all users.
The data does not disappear.
It simply stops influencing the decision phase.
New strategic tools
You are not going in blind. We have prepared new features that provide context without revealing the exact percentage.
Strategic Categories (.Pro)
Riders will be classified into strategic profiles (Safe Pick, Popular, Differential, Risky…) based on real selection patterns within the current race.
Riders within each category will be displayed ordered by price.
Percentages or selection rankings will not be shown.
The goal is to offer guidance without turning it into an automatic blueprint.

You will now be able to identify which riders are generating the most interest:

- Non-Premium users will be able to access it after watching an ad.
- Replaces the old access to the pre-lock pick rate.
Teams like mine
The indicator is evolving into an indicative format:
- No similar team
- Fewer than 10 teams
- More than 10 teams
Enough to understand whether you are going solo or in company, without revealing exact figures.
Competition Analysis .Pro: now deeper
We have evolved the Competition Analysis Premium .Pro view with new features and more advanced data:
- Simplified navigation between Best Teams, year by year.
- Historical percentages of how stages have been won in each race.
- Detailed Stage Score charts.
- Expanded analysis of points distribution.
- Comparative historical data by edition.
- More strategic context before the start of the competition.
The goal is to offer real analysis tools for those who want to compete at the highest level.
