The Cyclo-Cross show visits Spain

The Cyclo-Cross World Cup faces the penultimate race of the 2022-2023 season. The setting, Benidorm, will host a World Cup event for the first time on this occasion, in a race that marks the return to Spain of the World Cup after 11 years of absence. The circuit, designed by the Spanish road cycling national team coach Pascual Momparler, presents two sectors of stairs, an explosive climb, a zig-zag descent and a 45-metre-long sand area.

Favorites women’s race

One more week, Puck Pietrerse (1200), Shirin Van Anrooij (1200) and Fem Van Empel (1200) start as the three big favorites. The startlist also includes world-class megastars such as Lucinda Brand (1200) and Marianne Vos (1200).

Favorites men's race

Wout Van Aert (1200), Mathieu Van Der Poel (1000) and Thomas Pidcock (1000) top the list of favorites for the men's event. Laurens Sweeck (1200) and Michael Vanthourenthout (1200) can also look for a good result, since they are fighting for the general classification of the World Cup.
