The Danish sprint party

The Danish terrain without large mountains is transferred to the PostNord Danmark Rundt course, making it the ideal race for sprinters to shine. In addition, the 6 WorldTour teams and the 7 Pro Teams participating in the race have not hesitated to bring some of their best sprinters, so everything is set for a sprint festival.

Route

The first 4 stages present flat profiles, and in view of the team rosters, it seems very difficult to imagine that the sprinters' teams allow any breakaway make it to the line. So it is to be expected that we will see 4 bunch sprints, while the general classification will presumably be contested in the individual time trial on the last day.

Favorites

Remco Evenepoel (1000) is clearly the best time trialist on the startlist and the great candidate for victory in the General Classification, but he will surely have to compete with other strong men against the clock such as Søren Kragh Andersen (600), Victor Campenaerts (400), Edoardo Affini (200), Ilan Van Wilder (400) or his own teammate Yves Lampaert (600).

The winner of 4 stages in the last Tour de France Mark Cavendish (600) is the man to beat on the sprints, and Deceuninck - Quick Step wraps him once again with the best leadout man in the world, the Danish Michael Mørkøv (400). Giacomo Nizzolo (800), Dylan Groenewegen (600), Cees Bol (400), Kristoffer Halvorsen (600), Timothy Dupont (400), Jakub Mareczko (400), Arvid de Klein (400) or the local hero, the 2019 world champion Mads Pedersen (600), will also seek victory in fast arrivals.
