The last Course
The director of the Tour de France Christian Prudhomme confirmed a few days ago one of the great news of recent times: there will be a women's Tour de France in 2022. With the addition of a Tour as a stage race to the calendar, it seems clear that this will be the last edition of La Course by Le Tour de France.
Route
This year's Course runs through the last kilometers of the first stage of the Men's Tour, with the particularity that the riders will have to do 3 laps of a small final circuit, which includes the climb to the Côte de la Fosse aux Loups ( 2.6 km at 6%).
Favorites
It seems that the race will be decided on the final circuit and the four passes on the climb, so riders with punch are the main favorites. Once again Anna Van Der Breggen (1200) starts as the woman to beat. Other strong candidates for victory are Marianne Vos (1200), Lucinda Brand (1000), Katarzyna Niewiadoma (1000), Ceclie Uttrup Ludwig (1000), Demi Vollering (1000), Cristine Majerus (1000), Elizabeth Deingan (1000), Grace Brown (800) or Marta Bastianelli (800). In any case, the startlist is not yet closed, so other contenders can register in these last days.
