The last men's stage race of the year

The season is coming to an end, and as always in autumn, a succession of one-day races will occupy the center of the cycling universe. However, before that, there are still a few stage races to be contested. Specifically, for men there is only the ProSeries Tour de Luxembourg, since at WorldTour level there are no longer any.

Route

The race consists of five stages, and apart from the 25-kilometer individual time trial on the penultimate day, the rest of the stages have Ardennes classics profiles, where short steep climbs near the finish line abound.

Favorites

João Almeida (1200) starts as the big favorite for the overall classification, and perhaps his main rivals may be Mads Pedersen (600), Ben O'Connor (400), Bauke Mollema (600), Vincenzo Nibali (600) or David de la Cruz ( 400). For other riders such as Benoit Cosnefroy (400), Thibaut Pinot (400), Jesús Herrada (400), Nairo Quintana (1000) or David Gaudu (400) everything will depend on whether they manage to minimize the time lost in the time trial.

Finally, it should be borne in mind that some riders only attend the race to add kilometers on their legs before the World Championships in Flanders and Paris-Roubaix, so they may not score too much for our CF teams.
