The Netherlands celebrates its 25th women's tour
Simac Ladies Tour is the commercial name of the Holland Ladies Tour, the women's tour of the Netherlands, which celebrates its 25th edition this year. This makes it one of the races with the longest history on the women's calendar, and this may have something to do with the Netherlands being the birthplace of many of the best cyclists in the world.
Route
The race is made up of 6 predominantly flat stages, since the orography of the landscape does not allow big mountain stages. The first three stages present flat profiles that will surely get to sprint outcomes, while the general classification will be decided in the last 3 days. Stages 4 and 6 present hilly classics-like profiles, while the fifth day is a 17 km time trial.
Favorites
Three days before the start of the race, only Team DSM has confirmed its line-up, led by sprinter Lorena Wiebes (1200). Without more riders on the list, it is impossible to make any predictions.
