The oldest monument

The first edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège was held in 1892, making it the oldest of the classics still held today. This gives it a special epic and makes it fully worthy of the nickname of La Doyènne (The Old Lady). In addition, it is the culmination of the triptych of the Ardennes and at the same time one of the five Monuments, so in Cycling Fantasy this race has a special value, since it scores for both combined classifications.

Route

259 kilometers and 4265 meters of climbing make up the men's event, for the 140 km and 2121 meters of positive slope that women will have to go through. Of course, both races will have to overcome a multitude of climbs, the most famous being côte de la Redoute (1.9 km at 8.9%), côte des Forges (1.3 km at 6.8%), or côte de la Roche-aux-Faucons (1.2 km at 10.9%), which make up the final section.

Men's race favorites

In 2020 Primož Roglič (1200), took the victory after the error of Julian Alalphilippe (1200), who celebrated too early. Other possible candidates are the winner of 2019, Jakob Fulgsang (1200), or the 4-time winner of the race, Alejandro Valverde (1000).
