The ProSeries head to Malaysia

The PETRONAS Le Tour de Langkawi is one of the most important races in Asia. Since 2020, the race has been included in the UCI ProSeries, the second category of world cycling, which marked a spectacular step forward for the race. In this edition, the race has attracted two UCI WorldTeams (Astana Qasaqstan Team and EF Education - Easypost) and 8 UCI ProTeams.

Route

Out of the 8 stages that make up the race, 6 are flat, and it's likely that they will end in a sprint, while the general classification will be decided on the third stage ( a medium mountain stage), and the queen stage on the fifth day, finishing uphill in Genting Highlands (8.8 km at 8.6%).

For the sprint finishes, Arvid De Klein (400), Enrico Zanoncello (200), Gleb Syritsa (200), Attilio Viviani (200), George Jackson (200), and Carlos Canal (200) are the main favorites.

Some of the standout climbers on the start list include Jefferson Cepeda (200), Simon Carr (200), Mikel Bizkarra (200), Joan Bou (200), Harold Martin Lopez (200), Jambaljamts Sainbayar (200), Yannis Voisard (200), and Luca Covilli (200), who are among the top favorites for the general classification.
