The Women ProSeries are decided in Bologna

The season is coming to an end and, as always in autumn, northern Italy concentrates a large part of the cycling activity, with several one-day races leading to Il Lombardia. Some of these events have introduced women's races in recent years, as in the case of Giro dell’Emilia, whose women's version, Giro dell’Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite, reaches its eighth edition. Precisely, after the cancellation of Gran Premio Bruno Beghelli, this race will be the last women's competition of the ProSeries of 2021 and will decide the .Pro Women ranking in Cycling Fantasy.

Men's race course and favorites

The usual route includes more than 3,000 vertical meters and the final circuit in the streets of Bologna, with 5 climbs to San Luca (2.1 km at 9.4%). The main favorites are pucheurs and climbers who are preparing Il Lombardia, such as Primož Roglič (1200), Tadej Pogačar (1200), Diego Ulissi (1000), João Almeida (1200), Marc Hirschi (600), Alexandr Vlasov (1200), Remco Evenepoel (1200), Tim Wellens (600), Benoït Cosnenfroy (400), Andrea Bagioli (400), Adam Yates (1000), George Bennet (400), Thibaut Pinot (400), Jonas Vingegaard (800) or Pavel Sivakov (400).

Women's race course

86 flat kilometers precede a single climb to San Luca (2.1 km at 9.4%), which will decide everything. At the moment we still do not have a startlist, so it is impossible to talk about favorites. It must be taken into account that the race coincides with the first edition of the women's Paris-Roubaix, so it is expected that the startlist will not include the main cyclists on the world scene.
