The Women’s ProSeries to be decided in Germany
The second division of women's world cycling, the UCI Women's ProSeries, is composed of very few races throughout the year, to the point that, in the month of May, there are only two competitions of this level left to be contested. These are the International LOTTO Thüringen Ladies Tour and the Giro dell'Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite. Considering that the Italian race is a one-day event and will distribute few points, the German race, consisting of six stages, will be decisive for this classification in the game.
Route
The race begins with a Team Time Trial, after which the cyclists will face five predominantly flat stages. The bonus seconds in the intermediate and final sprints can be decisive for the general classification. The final stage is perhaps the one that is most likely to escape a sprint resolution, as it accumulates 1649 meters of climbing.
Favorites
Lotte Kopecky (1000), Marta Bastianelli (800), Eleonora Gasparrini (400), Marta Lach (400), Silvia Zanardi (400), Georgia Baker (400), Maike Van Der Duin (400), and Ally Wollaston (200) are some of the top sprinters present in the start list, and they will probably also compete for the overall classification.
