The World Cup starts in Tábor
Although cyclocross is a predominantly Belgian sport, the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) has made efforts in recent years to internationalize the discipline. The World Cup is the UCI's main tool to achieve this, so several races are held in other countries. This is the case for the Czech Republic and Tábor, which hosted the World Championships in 2024 and, after two years of absence, returns this season as part of the World Cup.
Course
The circuit is mostly on meadows and is usually heavy. In addition, if it rains in the previous days, mud could be an important factor. The course does not include much elevation, and the two stair sections are located in the central part of each lap.
