The WWT returns in Scandinavia
The Tour de France Femmes with Zwift concluded on July 30th, and since then, the UCI Women’s WorldTour took a break in the calendar, mainly due to the World Championships. Now, the circuit that brings together the main women's races in the world returns with the Tour of Scandinavia, promising five intense days in Norway and Denmark.
Route
The route of this edition of the Tour of Scandinavia favors punchy riders, as the first, third, and fifth stages include final circuits with short climbs. The crucial stages for the general classification will be the second, featuring the final ascent to Djupsjøen (10 km at 5.1%), and the fourth, which is an individual time trial of 16.5 km.
Favorites
As often happens with women's races, with 4 days to go until the start of the event, the start list is still in a very initial phase. For the moment, Cecile Uttrup Ludwig (1000) and Annemiek Van Vleuten (1200) are the two main favorites for the overall classification.
