Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for Antwerp Port Epic Ladies 2025
One of the new features we introduced to Cycling Fantasy this season was the creation of two new combined classifications for women's UCI ProSeries races. On one hand, there’s the classification that groups points earned in one-day second-division races held in Spain, which awards 10 Sagrada Familia trophies. On the other hand, the combined classification of one-day races in Belgium, which, just like in the men's category, awards 10 Atomium trophies.
Well, the final race counting toward the Belgian classification will be the Antwerp Port Epic Ladies, to be held this Saturday. Once it finishes, the 10 trophies will be awarded.
Route
The race, which has been upgraded in category this season, features a completely flat 130-kilometre route through the vast port of Antwerp and its surroundings, where the difficulty comes from the 34 cobbled and gravel sectors.
Favourites
The start list does not include any of the biggest stars of the women’s peloton, so the outcome may be more unpredictable than in other races. Maria Giulia Confalonieri (400), Victoire Berteau (200), Clara Copponi (400), Kathrin Schweinberger (200), Julie De Wilde (200), Ilse Pluimers (200), Susanne Andersen (200), Sofie Van Rooijen (200), Lonnekle Uneken (200), Valentine Fortin (200), Nicole Steigenga (200), and Maggie Coles-Lyster (200) are among the favorites.
