Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar 2025
The Gran Premio Ciudad de Eibar, which debuted last year on the UCI ProSeries calendar, will be held this Sunday, coinciding with the men’s road race of the European Championships. On the eve, both the women’s European Championship and the Giro dell’Emilia Internazionale Donne Elite, also ranked 1.Pro, will take place. This crowded calendar has affected the Basque race, which will feature only one Women’s WorldTeam (Human Powered Health) on the start line.
Route
The race covers 130 km and features the ascent of Ixua (6.4 km at 6.3%), crowned just 7 km from the finish, which will undoubtedly be decisive for the outcome.
Favorites
Human Powered Health is the team to beat, with a line-up including Ruth Edwards (600), Katia Ragusa (200), Giada Borghesi (200) and Lilly Williams (200). Other notable riders on the provisional start list are Usoa Osatolaza (200), Ane Santesteban (200), Karolina Perekitko (200), Nadia Gontova (200) and Alice Maria Arzuffi (200).
