Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for SUPER 8 Classic 2025
The combined Belgium 1.Pro classification, which brings together all the one-day races of the UCI ProSeries held in Belgium, comes to an end this Saturday. The last two races counting for this beautiful competition in Cycling Fantasy are the Grand Prix de Wallonie on Wednesday and the SUPER8 Classic on Saturday, which could bring the final changes in the top 10 positions of the standings, where the 10 precious Atomium trophies of Brussels are awarded.
Grand Prix de Wallonie: route and favorites
The Grand Prix de Wallonie is characterized by its finish on the cobblestones of the climb to the Citadel of Namur (3.1 km at 4%). The race covers 188 km and 2,400 meters of elevation gain throughout the day.
Roger Adrià (400), Arnaud De Lie (800), Biniam Girmay (1000), Clément Champoussin (400), Matteo Trentin (400), Antonio Morgado (200), Alex Aranburu (800), Alfred Wright (400), Tim Wellens (600), Paul Lapeira (400), Danny Van Poppel (600), Emilien Jeannière (400), Bryan Coquard (600), Anthony Turgis (400) and Louis Barré (400) are among the main favorites.
SUPER8 Classic: route and favorites
Saturday’s race features a route through Flemish Brabant with several climbs typical of the region, such as the Moskesstraat (0.5 km at 7.4%), which will be tackled twice. In total, 197 km and 1,800 meters of accumulated elevation gain make up a course very similar, if not identical, to last year’s, promising a beautiful battle between classics specialists and sprinters.
