Race analysis, favourites, and predictions for Tour of Taihu Lake 2025

The Tour of Taihu Lake begins next Thursday at 10 a.m. local time in China, that is, in the early morning in Europe (4:00 CET). Therefore, there are less than 48 hours left before the start of the race and, as has often been the case in recent years, there is still no available start list for the race, so we will have to stay alert until the last moment.

Those competing in the men’s ProSeries annual ranking should pay special attention, since the race awards many points and there are very few events left before the end of the season.

 
Route

Once again, the race promises a sprint festival. Although the first stage includes five climbs of a 2.5 km hill at 3.6%, the last ascent is 17 km from the finish line and should not prevent a bunch sprint. The remaining stages are even more favorable for sprinters.

As mentioned, the start list is practically empty and we only have the full roster of Burgos Burpellet BH, so it is impossible to name any favorites.
