Trofeo Alfredo Binda - Comune di Cittiglio is one of the most prestigious and traditional women’s races on the calendar. The event, held on a hilly route around Cittiglio, the hometown of legendary Italian cyclist Alfredo Binda, was created in 1974 and has been held almost uninterruptedly ever since, making it the women’s race with the most editions contested.
Route
The race covers a total of 153 kilometers, with the first 46 km going from the start in Luino to Cittiglio, where the riders enter a local circuit of 18.5 km. Once in Cittiglio, cyclists must complete six laps of the circuit, which features the climbs of Casale (0.8 km at 7.1%) and Orino (2.6 km at 4.8%) as the main challenges. In total, the race accumulates 2,300 meters of elevation gain.

Three days before the race, the start list is still in an initial phase, but already includes some favorites such as Demi Vollering (1200), Elisa Longo Borghini (1200), Anna van der Breggen (200), Elisa Balsamo (1000), Évita Muzic (800), Mavi García (800), Soraya Paladin (800), and Yara Kastelijn (800).
