The cyclocross season in Cycling Fantasy kicks off this weekend with the European Championships of the discipline. Thus, twenty star-studded and mud-splattered jerseys of continental champions (10 women and 10 men) will be up for grabs in what is, for all practical purposes, the starting gun for the winter campaign.

 
Course

The UEC Cyclo-Cross European Championships 2025 will be held in Middelkerke, Belgium, where the Belgian National Championship took place in 2022. The coastal circuit includes a section of the course over the beach sand.

 
Women’s race: favorites

Fem Van Empel (1200), Lucinda Brand (1200), Ceylin del Carmen Alvarado (1200), Blanka Vas (1000), Inge Van der Heijden (1000), Marie Schreiber (800), Manon Bakker (600), Annemarie Worst (600), Laura Verdonschot (400), Sara Casasola (800) and Marion Norbert Riberolle (600) are among the top riders on the provisional start list for Saturday’s race.

 
Men’s race: favourites

Thibau Nys (1000), Michael Vanthourenhout (1200), Lars van der Haar (1000), Pim Ronhaar (1000), Joran Wyseure (800), Toon Aerts (800), Felipe Orts (600), Joris Nieuwenhuis (600), Niels Vandeputte (800), Cameron Mason (400) and Laurens Sweeck (800) are the main names to watch in Sunday’s men’s event.
