Banesto was a Spanish bank that took over as the main sponsor of the team Reynolds in 1990. Pedro Delgado started as the team leader for the Tour de France but in the early 90’s Miguel Indurain took the leadership. Indurain won his 5 Tour de France an his 2 Giro d’Italia wearing the Banesto jersey. José Miguel Echavarri García was the team manager from its inception in 1980 as Reynolds until 2008 as Caisse d’Epargne. The team continues nowadays under the Movistar sponsorship.
