During his professional career, Philippe Gilbert won classics of all kinds. In addition to the 5 monuments in his palmarès (2 Il Lombardia, 1 Liège-Bastogne-Liège, 1 Ronde Van Vlaanderen, and 1 Paris-Roubaix), Gilbert also won La Flèche Wallonne, the Donostia San Sebastian Klasikoa, 4 editions of the Amstel Gold Race, and was the world champion in 2012. In addition to all these achievements, Gilbert was also the Belgian national champion in 2011 and 2016.
