Fassa Bortolo was an Italian professional team founded in 2000 and led by Giancarlo Ferretti. The team managed to become one of the most successful teams of its era, largely thanks to the outstanding sprinter Alessandro Petacchi. In its six years of existence (2000-2005), Fassa Bortolo won over 200 races, including stages in all three Grand Tours.
