The Mercier team was a French professional cycling team that was active between 1935 and 1984. Together with Peugeot, it was one of the teams with the longest presence in the cycling world, especially at the Tour de France.
It was sponsored by the French bicycle house Cycles Mercier from 1935 to 1969. Starting in 1946, the team wore a purple jersey that in 1950 became the characteristic purple jersey with a yellow collar. It was characteristic of the team even when Mercier was no longer the team's main sponsor as of 1969. It was the only team that Raymond Poulidor raced for.
