The partnership between bicycle manufacturer Mercier and tire brand Hutchinson was one of the most stable in 20th-century cycling. From the team's founding in 1936 until 1978, both brands worked hand in hand. After five seasons with Gan as a co-sponsor, from 1977 to 1980 it was ice cream manufacturer Miko who joined the project.
