Soudal - Quick Step, formerly known as Quick Step - Alpha Vinyl, Deceuninck-Quick Step, Omega Pharma-Quick Step and Etixx - Quick Step among others, is a professional cycling team from Belgium of the UCI WorldTeam category.
It was founded in 2003 as a continuation of the historic Mapei team, with Patrick Lefevere as DS. Quick Step had already been a co-sponsor of Mapei in its last stage, and has been sponsoring the team since its inception without interruption. Quick Step is a Belgian company that manufactures laminate floors.
It has a historic rivalry with the other Belgian UCI WorldTeam team, Lotto Soudal, and has always stood out for its high level in the spring classics and other one-day events held in Flanders, Wallonia or northern France.
