Fabian Cancellara was one of the most prominent cyclists of the first 15 years of the 21st century. Nicknamed "Spartacus," Cancellara was a strong time trialist and classics specialist. Among his notable victories are 7 monuments (3 Paris-Roubaix, 3 Ronde Van Vlaanderen, and one Milano-Sanremo), 8 stage wins in the Tour de France, and 2 Olympic gold medals in the time trial discipline. Cancellara was also a two-time national road champion and a 10-time national time trial champion.
